9point3,

I picked a new in the box T/C Custom 28 ga at a local gun show in Feb. I didn't realize that they made a 28 ga for the Contender. I almost ordered a 410 barrel. The guy couldn't move the barrel by the end of the show, I said I would be interested if the price was right, so he said make me an offer. I offered him $ 140 or $ 145 in CASH with no tax, and he took it. What a deal. It came all wrapped new in the box, all 3 screw in chokes & wrench still in uopened packages. Very nice high luster blue with vented rib. I used it for busting cottontail rabbits in front of our beagles. I have never owned a 28 ga before and was quite surprized at how well it shot. Very close to my 20 gauges that I use but alot lighter.
And yes the forend fit from my bull barrel carbine.
I would recommend buying one.
