Prohunter Barrel

Can a fluted Prohunter barrel be cut down?  I am thinking of buying one, cutting it to 26" and adding a muzzle break.

I don't see why It can't be done Other than the flutes.  Even then just turn it down till your down past the flutes, then add your break. There seems to be enough meat for threads.

I hope this is the case.  I ordered a Prohutner 300 WM barrel yesterday.  I am going to try it without the brake, but I hear the recoil is pretty stout.  I have an Icon in 300 WM.  The recoil is manageable, but the Icon weighs a substantial amount more than the Icon.
