Moving to Alabama
« on: October 15, 2008, 05:50:02 AM »
Well at least my accent will fit in. Been a Tennessee Mtn boy all my life but it appears I will be taking a job in Hale Co next month. There are a few details to work out. From what I understand Hale Co is in the middle of nowhere & dirt poor. I cant wait while mt wife is a little worried.

Anyway I have been looking fro some pics that would show me what kinda potential bucks have in this area. Anyone have pics or know of a website?

Thanks.

If you like to deer hunt, you will like Hale Co. Other than that, that's about all I can say. I was in a hunting club in Hale Co. several years back and it was loaded with deer. If you can't find a club to join, then there's the Oakmulgee Management Area in the north end of the county, it's a good place to hunt. I think it has over 50,000 acres to hunt on. And if you don't like to hunt on management areas, it's surrounded by an undetermined amount of acreage of the Talladega National Forest...a very good place to hunt on also.
