Zane Palmers website has been down for some time now, and I've sent numerous e-mails and not recieved any response. Hopefully, he reached the number of orders to carry himself well into retirement and let his site and e-mail address lapse. I wish I had saved the photos of his guns that were displayed on his site.
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

I remember you saying that when you were in S/A. I wonder what they're selling for now? His pieces were in the 1,200 to 2,000 $ range, say, 3 and a half years ago when I first saw his site. I'd guess they'd be considerably more now.

There were a couple of guys down there in SA building guns, they were all old and at least two died while I was there.  Palmer may have died also. I'll look into it.

You might want to send Pretty Ancient Antiques an email and ask what he has, the Rand is over 10 Rand to the Dollar now.

DD,

I checked their website, but couldn't find any miniature cannons (which doesn't mean they don't have any); was this the store you went to in Durbin, looking for some Palmer guns? I remember the store you went to didn't have any of Palmers work, but they did have some other interesting cannons, and you posted photos of them.
