Some CZ tech questions
« on: November 30, 2008, 08:46:59 PM »
Been looking at rifles, specifically trying to find an affordable 24" barreled 270, of which the CZ american is close enough for my purposes.  Haven't been able to look at one yet but their web page leaves me with a few questions.
1) is the bolt/handle one piece?
2) the online manual suggests that a three position safety is available, is this available in the US and is it striker mounted?
3) if the answer to number 2 is no, can one have a 3 position wing safety marketed for mausers installed?
4) saw an ad at rifle shooter for a CZ model 3 which had a model 70 type safety but can't find it on their website, anyone seen this?

The ad you saw may have been fron Ed LaPour of Bremerton, Wa. He makes them for many models. (360) 479-4966. There may be others.

1. Yes, it is one piece.
2. Yes, there are several manufacturers of a 3 position safety for the CZ.
3. NA.
4. CZ manufactured rifles on the Montana action as Mod. 3's.  They are no longer available.
