T/C Electra dot

Just got a rail mount T/C electri dot scope, and need to find batteries for it. the cap says NR44 1.4V mercury battery. Can anyone tell me if there is a cross over that works?

Mercury batteries (now outlawed) were used for high drain devices.  Silver or lithium are now used for these applications.  Try a LR44, SR44, 357 or 303.
