Daisy 717 Trigger
« on: November 14, 2008, 02:20:36 AM »
I've had a 717 for several years but don't shoot it much because of the heavy trigger pull. Accuracy is fine with a resting two hand hold but the trigger is too heavy to shoot well one handed.  Can these triggers be improved? Anyone know how to do it? Thanks.

This is the most popular modification to the 717. Mr. Nygord has since passed, he charged $20 to do this in 2002 when I had mine done. If you have the ability to do this it can be adjusted from about a 1.5 to 6 lbs.

If not, the 747 trigger will fit, it is an adjustable single stage. I have a 747 as well it will adjust from around 1 - 3 lb factory. You could contact Daisy they will send you a pdf price sheet and diagram. Just request the 747, since the only difference is trigger and lothar walther barrel.

Thanks. I will look into that. Yes, I knew Don had passed away. I knew him and was fortunate enough to shoot some 2700 matches with him on occasion.
