DuraSight Base Screws
« on: December 10, 2008, 02:13:35 PM »
Today I bought the last Durasight Base from Academy to mount on my OE. When mounting the base, I noticed one of the 4 screws is smaller than the other 3 and sure enough, it would not fit my rifle. Has anyone else noticed this or did I just get a "DUD" pack from Academy?

I've mounted 3 of the DS102B bases with no problems, just a faux pau from the manufacturer unless Academy is repacking them.  :-\

Just my luck >:(. I'm taking them back tomorrow and heading to Bass Pro Shops to pick up another pair. Thanks Quik. Found out what the problem was too. I picked up the 702B instead of the 102B.  ::) ;D Wasn't Academy's fault afterall. Hopefully BPS or Cabelas will have the ones I need.

Lesson Learned: For those of you that shoot an Optima I think you're fine with the 702----but if you have an OE you'd better pick up the 102---NOT the 702 ;).
