« on: November 03, 2008, 03:05:51 PM »
Hey all,
Is anybody using Hornady's 265GR. Interlock FP bullet out of their .50 MZ?  I would think these would perform Great on deer and bear.

They do.  Have a friend who has used them for many years on black bear, mule deer, white tail deer and elk.  He swears by them.  That bullet was designed for the .444 Marlin.

I used them in the 44mag for shooting large Russian boars. They are constructed heavier and resist expansion more than bullets designed for the 44mag.

At 50cal ML velocities they should be fine. I doubt that a whitetail could stop one.
