Model 422 Owners Manual?..FOUND IT, link inside
« on: June 05, 2009, 10:56:59 AM »
Put a nice Smith Model 422 on layaway today.
No box, no manual.
Does anyone have an idea where I can get a owner's manual? I went to the S&W site and they do not list discontinued model manuals.
Googled the net, no luck.
Seems like a good pistol.

FOUND IT here...http://stevespages.com/pdf/s&w_rimfire_pistols.pdf
AWESOME site, manuals on darn near everything.

I have had my 422 for twenty years. It is a great field gun and I have taken countless squirrel with it. :) The adjustable sites on mine helped to tune it to the low velocity ammo I prefer to use and it is quite accurate with Federal Gold ammo.
American by birth; Southern by the Grace of God

I also have had my 422 -6in bbl with adjustable sights since they came out in '86 I believe. I use it for squirrels and
rabbits mostly. Makes it real fun! I have a tasco red dot sight on it with B-square mount that attaches to front of trigger
guard. It is a little finicky on ammo but does tend to like the remington and federal standard velocity LR's. You may want to
pick up some extra magazines for range shooting or plinking it uses the same mag as the mdl 41 target .22.
