I've just told you everything I know about this gun...the name!  Does anyone have any information regarding this manufacturer?  I haven't even seen the gun yet, will do so tomorrow.

Thanks. guys.  I already tried Nitroexpress...no luck there either.

I saw and handled the rifle today.  It turns out that Ulrych is the name of the small independent gunmaker/engraver that put it together, on what was described to me as a Brno action.  It was beautifully done, excellent fit and finish, super wood, and absolutely outstanding metal engraving.  The wood was checkered with a fish-scale and oak-leaf pattern, and a nice claw mount was fitted.  Really a beautiful gun...actually a little too beautiful for me.  I want a plainer rifle, more of a working gun, something that I can hunt.  I'd be pretty paraniod using this one.

I was assured that it was regulated and shot very small groups @100 yards.  When I went to try the triggers, the gun closed on a pair of snap caps and then would not open.  Hmmm...after disappearing into the rear of the shop for a bit, it reappeared none the worse for wear, and the problem was explained as "very tight chambers".

The shop is a very trustworthy one, so I haven't given up on this one yet, but it didn't come home with me.  I'll have to sleep on it a bit.  If I take the leap and buy it, I'll try and post some pictures.

Is it an O/U or SXS?

Sorry for the delay...I don't get on the computer much anymore!

The gun is a SxS.  In the time that's passed since my original posting, it's been sold.  Interestingly, the same shop has had a couple more of the same type, done be the same smith, and consigned by the same individual.  They've been in 9.3x74R, 7x65R, and even .300 Win Mag!  One of them had a set of spare 12-gauge SxS barrels as well.  Very beautiful guns.

My current object of interest is the Fabarm O/U Asper rifle.  I saw and handled one a couple of days back, and it is a sweet-handling gun.  Very light, almost too light for a 9.3mm.  Comes guaranteed to shoot into a 2-inch group from both barrels.  A little futuristic-looking for my taste, but a very interesting gun.  You should check one out if the opportunity presents.
