PTR-91. Junk or not? Compare to Springfield SOCOM? Views?

Dear Guys,

   I have never held a PTR-91.  Just saw a picture in a magazine.  Clearly, not as good as an original HK-91.   But, that being said, what's the verdict on these?  A Deal or Junk?

   How do they rate next to a Springfield SOCOM?

Simply put the Petr is the best 91 clone out there. Most people advise if you can't get this one then don't waist your time on any other and get the cheaper cetme clones. Personally I have an H&K, but a friend has a ptr. His will do anything mine will do, can't say one is better than the other. I just bought mine 15 years ago when they were cheaper. If I were to buy one today it would be the ptr.
As for the SOCOM, IMHO no 91, or any other .308 battle rifle can compare.

I let my Springfield Bushy go far to cheap a while back! Was out of work! I miss her terribly. Now prices have skyrocket. Shooting a AR180b now!

 I've got a scout squad m1a and a ptr 91. Would take the m1a hands down anytime. Never had a problem out of either, the m1a is just more accurate and more familiar to shoulder.

  Well guys,
 
    The M1A I wanted would have ran me about $1900 about 8 months ago .. So I ended up going with the DPMS LR308 AP4 .. Good gun ,So far havent had one hang up other then the price if the factory mags ... And now that the socialists are taking over i cant even begin to think about getting one of the C products mags for this rifle..

   I have had a H&K G3 and loved it alot .. and only got rid of her to off set the purchase of a new motorcycle ... now one perk is that you can still get mil surp mags for the G3 ( which uses the same as the rifle in question right ? ) for about $5 to $6 a pop
 
   As far as which one is better (M1A or the 91)

   Well I know I would not have hesitated to carry the G3 into combat......

   And as for the M1A ? It has proven itself to civilian and soldier alike .....

I have Both the M14 and the 91 , The M14 wins hands down ,not that the 91 isnt a fine rile because it is.
But it lacks ergonomics badly ,and the m14 is like it was made to match the human body.
The Socoms i guess are OK ,but before this buying frenzy the shelves out here were filled with used ones.
The LRB tanker is only a little higher and they hold their value a lot better.
But the M14 and the M1A  feel as good as a Colt SAA , and shoot very straight.
