PP are a little hampered in a lever rifle because of the feed ramp angle the case is chambered.
The patch can catch as it enters the chamber and will jam and accuracy is there for is down graded.
I have not had to much success with the PP bullet in a lever rifle using black powder.
This is one think you might try, it's what I do when loading for a lever rifle.
Find a paper you can find that is .0017 to .002 thick you want to use.
Have a mould made with a bullet that when patched is .002 under bore diameter and cast it with a 1/20 alloy.
Wet patch that bullet with just a little milk in the water to change the color of the liquid this will help the patch to hold with out the tag end coming loose but still separate from the bullet as it leaves the muzzle.
Wet patching will help shrink the paper so it has a tighter wrap.
You can also patch to groove diameter and deep seating the bullet like you would a copper jacket in the case using this method and this will work better in the lever rifle. This how I do it in the 86, .444, and the 336.
Dont try using a jacketed bullet or a cast bullet that is already at groove diameter and patching it!!
