November 24, Good morning Montana
« on: November 24, 2008, 08:02:01 AM »
Good Morning Montanan, Good morning dpe.  Good monring everyone else lurking.  A nice respectable 47 degrees this morning.

Nothing much going on here right now.  Had a visit with the Dr. this morning for annual physical.  Minor things not working like they use to when I was 40, but besides the knees, the Doctor says everything is working as they should for a 61 year old.

Then we got down to business and started talking about how deer season went and the extended Elk Seasons. The Doctor didn't know where I could get my hands on any lead. He did caution me to wear gloves and a respirator when melting.   This conversation would have never happened in VA.

This time of year reminds me I'm not getting younger.  Sat. had 3 truck loads of turkeys, potatoes and the rest of the stuff for Thanksgiving meals come and only 3 of us to unload and put it away.  ICYHOT, you are my friend!  We have 1319 families signed up for Thanksgiving dinners and taking apps till the 12th of Dec for Christmas.  That one is even rougher as we give presents for kids under the age of 18 as well as the meal.  We have a no time off policy for Nov and Dec, makes it hard to get all the hunting in I want to do.  Gonna be 56 on the 28th, I mean 29 for the 27th time, and don't know how I got here so quick.  Happy Thanksgiving to all.  Double D, it's good to keep the girls on their toes, sounds like the knees think it's time for a 4 wheeler.  Heal quick, Montanan.  DP

WOW, and I love to cook.  My shoulder being down makes a dent in my cooking on Weds nights at our church.  I went up to see my doctor yesterday for the first time since my surgery and he explained a bit more about my shoulder.  Wow I hadn't really seen what he had been talking about.  Joint Seperation has differant levels and mine was at level 3 in the picture of the link.  My doctor removed the whole collar bone joint.  He said that I would have never healed in my condition.  Well I'm just glad that it's over and now the healing can begin along with PT to get me back in shape as my shoulder is healing now that there is no collar bone joint there like everyone else has.

The bandages are off now, and he said no lifting chain saws... I just grind at him cuz I think we both know I can't lift one yet.
