Omega does it again...
« on: November 24, 2008, 10:37:58 AM »
Opening day of Firearms Indiana...took a doe at 120 yards, the following Tuesday a 7 point Buck at 90 yards. Just waitin for Muzzleloader season to come in now to try to get another doe for the freezer...man those tenderloins were good with eggs and biscuits... ;D Good luck to everyone.

Drop, no pics to post, I have no computer at home anymore so I use the one at work at days end. The 7 point was a nice average buck, nothing monsterous, im more interested in meat than I am in antlers anyway. And yes the Omegas are hard to beat in my book, never had an Encore but I also have heard they have the same barrels.

What load are you using for those longer ranges?  And what is the longest you have cleanly taken a deer size animal?

That's a fellow range member's goto load.  I've seen him do some small groups out to 150 yards with that mixture.

My scope is zeroed 2" high @ 100 yards, my farthest possible shot this year would be 150 yards.
