Broken trigger

Im guessing a spring broke as the trigger pin can be removed by hand. Trigger wont reset and has to be pushed forward to engage.The pull is like a hair trigger now. Anybody seen this before?Easy fix or does it need to be sent back?

I had the same thing happen on a M97.  It was the trigger spring.  FA sent me a new spring and I had a local Gunsmith install it.  If you are handy (I'm not), you could probably install it yourself.  I wouldn't try it myself.  You have to know the orientation of the sping(s) in order to get them back in correctly. 

I also broke a bolt spring and a pawl(hand) spring on my M97, so you might want to get FA to send those springs along with the trigger spring.  Mark H said that FA has recently upgraded these springs, so the replacement should last longer.

The problem with sending the gun to FA is shipping charges.

By the way, you'll find FAs customer service 2nd to none.

Maybe I will send it back to get the spring fixed and at the same time get a trigger job and set screw. What does it cost to ship it?

You didn't say which model FA you have.  If it's a Model 97, I wouldn't bother with the trigger over travel screw.  Take a close look at the trigger reset while slowly cocking the hammer (gun unloaded of course) -- the trigger moves rearward when the hammer is cocked and forward as the sear is engaged.  Anyway, I haven't found it to be useful on the M97.   Can't comment on M83 as neither of mine are so equipped.

It cost me $77 to ship a M83 to Freedom Arms via Fed X.  I insured it for $1,600.  You have to ship Next Day air with either UPS or FedX.  It's cheaper to use the USPS, but you have to do it thru an FFL Dealer (Individuals can't ship handguns via USPS).  The return shipping on my FA was $50, so the total shipping charges were $127.  As they say, your mileage may vary.
