Does any one know if TC ever made any 10 or 12 inch for the contender in 32-20 winchester be nice to have one to go with my 32-20 marlin.

Not that I know of.  My Dad ordered one several years ago as a custom barrel from Fox Ridge.  I'm sure you can order a custom barrel from any of the custom barrel builders.  Probably won't cost too much either.

  Ed's TC has one listed right now under 10" Blued Bull barrels, yes, they still make them. I'm shooting one right now- http://hunterspistol.spaces.live.com/  with lead!

They were a factory offering years ago in 10" and Fox Ridge still makes them.  Be advised that just like the 32 H & R, the bore size was .308 instead of the normal .312.  GOOD SHOOTIN', Walt  :)

what bullet & load are you using in you 30-20, and what are you sizing the bullets to ?

   I have a 10" scoped to a VXII, have used both RCBS and Lyman bullets-I cast my own.
   RCBS- 32-098-SWC  P/N: 082061
   Lyman- 115 grain 311008   #2660008
 
   This RCBS has turned out to be easiest to use, simply because of it's weight. The Contender likes light bullets for flatter trajectories.  I used the Lyman #008 to start with and switched to the RCBS. The Lyman takes an extra 1/10th grain of 2400 magnum powder. It also takes an extra inch of elevation to lob it up there to 100 meters. Load tests are from sandbags.

     My barrel is a used silhouette barrel, had jacketed ran through it maybe. It measures .310 and I started out with a sizing die to .311, I have .314 and don't use it-ain't broke, don't fix it.
     With ordinary wheelweight and a Lyman sizer, it's possible to size these down. I use oil and/or ground mica to start the operation. Whatever doesn't wreck my sizer, maybe a stiff shove to make them work.  But that wheelweight isn't hardened anyway.

    In the event you can't see the photos, I am using 7.2 grains of 2400 behind the RCBS and 7.3 grains of 2400 behind the Lyman, Starline brass, winchester primers.

I used cast in my 30-20 for big bore IHMSA Sil. with 2400, I switched to 231 because 2400 left a lot of crud in the chamber and bbl. I got a really good deal on a lot of 150 FBFMJ's I'll scope it and try pistol vs rifle primers with my 30-20 loads .

  Yes sir, 2400 is BLACK when you clean it up. I haven't noticed a lot of crud, just some that collects on the barrel and frame. Doesn't seem to go very far though.

I have a new canister of 2400 that I haven't opened yet....been told it'll shoot much cleaner.

you know that the internal case capacity of the 32-20 is almost identical to that of the 300 whisper.  loads, between the two, are interchangeable.  the only problem is that the throats are to short to shoot the really heavy bullets.  the throats on mine will not accept any bullets over 165 gr, jacketed.  I shoot w296 out of mine.
