.45LC barrel question!
« on: December 01, 2008, 09:38:31 AM »
I have heard Tim state that the 22 inch barrel listed listed in the barrel accessory program is a "typo" and the actual length is 20 inches which is the same as the CR-45LC Classic.  However, after being on the phone with NEF or H&R I was told by 3 different ladies that the barrel listed in the Accessory program was 22 inches long even though the one on the CR-45LC is 20 inches.  Please tell me what length I would get as a fitted barrel.

I think the ladies are givin' you the wrong info.

Why would the company make one barrel for sales and one for the acc. barrel plan.
I looked at a new .45 LC rifle and it's a 20" so I would think the acc. barrels are 20"
I could be wrong...

I'll try to call the company and ask them right now.

I've had questions answered incorrectly recently as well.  In fact, I spoke with three different H&R reps about the same topic and got three different answers.  Unfortunately, it's almost better to believe the web-site rather than the customer service people.  You'd think that H&R could save some money and pass the discount down to us by getting rid of mis-informed customer service personnel and just beef up their web-site.

While I gotta give them credit for trying to do a good job, the new H&R CS folks just aren't up to speed on what is what, give them time, they'll get educated sooner or later. Just an FYI, I have the 45LC accessory barrel, it is indeed 20".  ;)

Thanks to all.  I was just a bit nervous about not getting what I wanted.  However I am not sending any frame off till after the season is over.  My .30-30 barrel is using that SB2 frame at the moment.
