Info on H&R Muzzleloaders
« on: December 07, 2008, 03:24:31 AM »
Got back into deer hunting a couple years ago, I have two sons 1 15 the other 10 (Got his first 8 pntr tis season)  In MO they have a 11 day Rifle and then a 7-11 day Muzzleloader Season.  I would like to get two muzzleloaders and don't want to spend a lot of Money.  Sorry I'm cheap.  I have a H&R 7MM-08 which I love and a H&R 22-250 which is accurate but breaks open a lot.  But I know nothig aobut muzzleloading.  Plus where do I go to get an H&R Muzzleloader?

Please see the FAQS and Help sticky in the H&R Centerfire Rifle forum on the 22-250 pop opens, there's a link to a thread called Pop Open Medicine.

H&R will fit a Huntsman accessory barrel to any SB1 shotgun or SB2 rifle frame made since 1987, you'll find a build year list in the FAQs sticky also.

As much as I love H&R, if You are looking for a cheap M/L.
You can find a CVA wolf break action on sale for around 129-139.
I have not heard bad things about these guns, they are not going to be 100-200 yard guns, but should be solid out to 90-110 yards
