I was going to buy a box of 12 gauge field loads this weekend, but couldn't find any that had 7 1/2 shot in 1 1/4 ounce loads. But they did have some 1 1/8 ounce field loads. Then I remembered I had a box of Winchester AA 12 gauge heavy target loads, with 1 1/8 ounce of 7 1/2 shot. I figured I'd just use the AA's as field loads instead of buying the new box.
Is there any practical difference between 1 1/8 ounce AA target loads and 1 1/8 ounce cheapie field loads? (except that the AAs probably pattern better.)
