45 acp and unique

I've ordered a thousand 230 grain LRN and plan on loading with Unique to around 850 fps.  Looks like 5.8 grains or so should do it?

Velocity isn't as important as accuracy, but I'd like to get it close to a mil-spec load.

Unique seems to have fallen out of favor with a lot of people in a 45 acp, which is kind of funny as it's all I loaded back in the day. 

I realize there are probably cleaner burning powders, but other than this, why has it lost favor with reloaders?

Or, is this just my perception, and is Unique still used by most loading the 45 acp?

Not sure that its fallen from grace as much as there are just so many powders to chose from now , 700X , 800X , Bullseye , Green Dot , Red Dot , Tightgroup , Trail Boss , just to list a few .

Myself , if its a handgun , my GOTO powder is still Unique .

unique is the only powder i buy by the 8lb jug.one more vote for unique,adker

i use to use unique but now i have switched to bullseye same price and it goes a little further
