The Versa-pack barrel will work on and SB1 or SB2 due to the offset bore, Sportsters use an SS1 rimfire frame which is an SB1 with the firing pin in the rimfire position. Just be aware the Versa-pack is no longer made and even when it was, they wouldn't fit one to any frame as an accessory barrel, it was sold only as a complete firearm.

thanks tim....so if i could find a versa pak barrel i could fit it to my sb2 frame, but i can't send to the factory to get it done...right? what i'm trying to do is set up my gun so when i shoot it as a 22 it matches up(trigger pull, overall weight,LOP,balance etc.) so when i practice with my 22 the feel of the gun matches the feel of my 30-30....i really need to work on my offhand shooting for one.......

Sure, you can fit one yourself, but it probably won't feel like a standard contour 22" 30-30, I think the Versa-pack barrel is a 20" light contour barrel, there's quite a difference if it is. ;)
