How to Coyote Hunt rural PA
« on: January 03, 2009, 04:14:37 AM »
Question about hunting Coyotes here in rural PA, I have done some reading and watched some DVDs on Coyote hunting, but it all seems to be in wide open areas.  I live near a lot of small farm fields with surrounding fence rows and with adjacent woods sometimes on 2-3 sides.

How do you setup to call this type of an area?

What gun should I carry shot gun or rifle?

I really don't know, I live out west and do not have that problem.  I think I would get a remote call, put it and a few feathers hung on a stick out in the middle of a field, go back to the fence line, sit down with some shooting sticks and start calling.  Just see what comes out of the woods.  Larry
A gun is just like a parachute, if you ever really need one, nothing else will do.

I have a Johnny Stewart PM-1 that wired unit, I guess I can get about 100' away from the speaker.  Would that be far enough?

I would say it would be better than nothing.  Larry
