Ruger tang safety ejection problems
« on: November 23, 2008, 02:16:46 AM »
My rifle would not eject a live round but would on a shot round no problem.  Any ideas of what could be wrong?

Reloads or factory ammo?

Sounds like the ejector is binding in the hole.

Get an empty case. Remove the bolt.  Hook the case rim under the extractor and pivot the case so it is inline with the bolt.  When you do this, you can feel the case compress the ejector and feel how strong and smooth the ejector motion is.  If not good, remove the ejector and clean the ejector, spring, and hole.
