Woo Hoo - Parder Pump from Santa!

Well, Santa has just completed an order for a 20 gauge pardner pump for me.  Should be here by the end of the week.  I've met someone who does arms sales on the side - no stock, just orders what you want, and he happens to specialize in H&R/NEF.  Cool, huh?

Now, here's a question for ya... why would you not be able to shoot steel out of it?  If it's true that you can't, what can I use for waterfowl?  Can I use the copper coated stuff?  But more importantly, why no steel in these babies?

I had never heard that before. I know that steel shot is a no no in a full choke because it doesn't compress enough to pass thru easily and may bulge the barrel.Is your gun a fixed choke or does it take choke tubes.When your gun arrives check the owners manuel first ,and see what it says about steel shot ,and if your still not sure give NEF a call. they will answer your questions better  than I.

Well, that's what I thought.  I ran across the information online here someplace.  It has a screw in modified choke.  I downloaded the manual from the internet and it says nothing.
