Tikka T3 Lite Stainless in 6.5x55
« on: November 24, 2008, 06:50:26 AM »
I would like a T3 stainless in 6.5 Swede. The Beretta web site lists these as availablein that caliber, but i don't know where to find them. My local store does not order Tikkas. Any ideas? Maybe Bass Pro Shops?

Good luck - I looked into this exact rifle last year and the best anyone around me (Mid-Michigan) could offer was "maybe 9 months to a year on special order'. Granted that's my experience, but there's not much demand for the swede in this neck of the woods. I ended up buying a sporterized one with a bold trigger and synthetic stock for $400.

I know, I'd love one too. They are probably available in other markets, but not as US imports? When I got my Hunter in 6.5x55, the dealer said it would take six months or more to get a Lite, forget about stainless.

Evidently both walnut/blue and syn/ss are available here on the plains of Dakota.

I ordered a 6.5x55 today. (Scheels All Sports)

I chose the walnut and blue, but the stainless/synthetic was
also available in 6.5x55.

My problem was that I would have been happy with Syn/Blue, but "that"
was not avalible. (Trying to save a few bucks)

Do you have a Scheel's Sporting Goods in your vicinity?  The ones in Billings, MT and Appleton, WI seem to have access to a pretty deep inventory of Tikkas.

I hear all of the talk about Tikka and my wife recently bought a Sako 75 Finnlight stainless in 6.5x55 for me since I am on deployment.  I found another stainless 75 in 30-06 with a Zeiss Diavari V 5-14-42 scope made in Germany on gunbroker and won it and I say won because I only paid 1250 dollars for the package.  It was like buy a Zeiss top of the line scope and get a free stainless Sako 30-06 with the walnut stock for free.  She got it the other day and everything was in great shape.  Any way if you are in the need for a 6.5x55 Sako 75 Finnlight let me know.  The wife paid 1,099 for it.  The good thing about a stainless Sako is everything metal is stainless.  You can find good deals for guns now because the economy isn't doing well and guns sell quick.  Good luck to you.
