Hello to all you Encore shooters. I enjoy chasing after whitetail with a 209 muzzle loader. This year, I got drawn for Kansas and am now looking for a 300 win mag SS barrel, 26", preferably with a muzzle brake. Anyone want to part with one or can recommend a source?

Im no expert of where to purchase barrels, however Ed's seems to be recommended a fair amount in these forums. It appears that he sells both new and used barrels. You can also try these others:

Thanks Bandit, SingleShotShorty and CkNight98 for your helpful response. I have the 300 win mag barrel with brake on order with Ed and some other items from MidSouth. Both suppliers were very professional and everything should arrive in time for the Kansas hunt.

I will be hunting out of Pittsburg, KS. Hunted there during the muzzle loader season. Saw some smaller bucks but no shooters. Spend enough time in the woods and sooner or later...

Well, I'll be about as far away from there as you can get in this state. I'm going to be out in unit 1 and 2 in the NW corner of the state. Good luck down there!
