looks like the answer for a durable working finish, for those who have limited tools and space.  what are your thoughts on this product?
I've got to many but never enough!!!!

Every review I have read on this product indicates it is a good choice.  The product comes with directions which should be followed for the best results.

I would love to see their color selection and in particular the 5 colors they thought up to make mike bloomberg happy on accounta he doesn't like 'black guns'.  I think my two favorites would be the Bronx Rose and teh Manhattan Commie, er, sorry, Manhattan Red. (lolol).  Mikey.

Im late here but i have used it on two VZ58 rifles.
I really like it ,i used to use Oven Cure but this is hundreds of times better.
The longer it drys the better it gets.
After i finished coating them i put them in a tin building during the summer.
It was hard as hammered Lighting in just one week.
It wears great ,and doesn't scratch real easily.

It is a good choice for reworking a gun.  I did two single sixes, a .22 rifle, and a 4x Leupold scope and it worked great. Just don't spray the close tolerance moving parts.  They won't have enough clearance to move properly.  Get a GOOD spray gun.  I used the el cheapo and it works, but you spend most of the time keeping the air hose on it.
BTW, my girls want me to do them a pistol in pink.  go figure!

I duracoated the barrel on my 12 gauge shorty.
This stuff is very very tough.
2 years of hunting thick brush and it still shows no scratches.

Brownell's has it. I used it on my Stevens plastic stock. The product works great and is as tough as nails.

I applied Gun-Kote (the predecessor of Duracoat) to an FN49 surplus military rifle over 37 years ago.  I still have that rifle, and the finish still looks good after all this time.
