New England Arms Handi rifle will not fire
« on: December 14, 2008, 01:02:01 PM »
I just bought a New England Arms Handi rifle 270 cal, and it will not fire. Does anyone know a reason why it will not fire?

It could be a number of things, hard to diagnos online...

Remove the barrel and work the hammer and trigger slowly and see whats happening. Can you see feel the firing pin protruding from the recoil shield? If not, I am going to bet there is a broken transfer bar...

It's broke. :P  What do you mean it doesn't fire?  Does it lock the hammer back?  Does the hammer fall?  Is there a mark on the primer?  A little more info., please.  DP
