I bought one of the Springfield "loaded" micro compacts about a week ago and I like it just fine.  I've only shot about 150 rounds through it, but it's very accurate and I've had no malfunctions at all.

Since I'm new with this one I can't attest to the longevity of them, but I can't imagine the Springfields falling apart.  From what I can tell they are very well made, and if this one I have continues to shoot like it does now, I'll be happy for a long time!

I have a Ultra Compact V10 (loaded). with about 250 rounds through it the only malfunctions (failure to extract) were with Wolf ammo. This, in my opinon, is because the powder they use dosen't burn clean. Remington Golden Saber and Remington ball ammo, both 230 grain, work fine. With the V10; it is stated in the owners manual not to use frangable, shotshell or +P ammo, also no +P in any of there compact/ultra compacts. No problem with accuracy, don't think I would go shorter than a 3.5 inch barrel (my preference) may not get hollow points to expand properly. This is something that would need to be tested and I have not done this with a 3 inch barrel, may work just fine.
