Still not a Handi rifle, but after the buck of a lifetime a couple weeks ago, this was a nice way to finish up the gun season here.

Lik2 ,

I'm guessing a frontal neck shot with pass through ??

Congrats on some more freezer meat ..
What caliber are you using in that non-handi there ?

 Nice job.

Now quit it.
I have only had 2 in range this year. One is in the freezer and one is still running from the Muzzleloader misfire ::)

Guys, I've found a "honey hole". This is three deer in three times out. Pretty good batting average. When I flopped her over to drop a gut pile a buck snorted at me from the trees off to my left, he ran and I never got to see him. Probably a good thing, if he'd been another good one, I'd have to deal with buck fever until next October. I think I'm going to go to trout fishing now.

I dunno, it looked more like it entered the neck and traveled just under the spine until it exited. I was shooting at about a 25-30 degree downward angle. Who knows? I do know there was no exit hole in the back of the neck.

Guys, I've found a "honey hole". This is three deer in three times out. Petty good batting average.

I used to have one of these back several years ago. Sat on stand one opening morning and counted 13 deer . Two nice 9 pointers and one really good ten pointer were taken by my two uncles and I from the same stand in the same weekend, and my dad took a real nice 8 pointer about 250 yds from it the next day. You would see at least 5 or 6 deer every time you went in the woods morning or evening. Not allowed to hunt there anymore. Things have really changed, I may have seen 10 deer in the last 10 years total, and I wouldn't bet on that. Saw more deer this year than I've seen for several years, my 9 yr old girl got her gun up on three small bucks but just couldn't shoot. Oh well, maybe some day we'll have a good place to hunt again.
