Encore 22lr barrel problem
« on: December 23, 2008, 03:43:06 PM »
Anyone having a problem with cases bulging and hard to extract after firing? I have a rifle barrel and I am having a problem removing the fired cases.
Thanks,
John B.

I don't have an Encore 22 LR barrel but from what you describe it would seem the chamber on your barrel is defective.  The cases should not bulge or be hard to extract.  I would have T/C fix your barrel.

Ditto,  I'd call TC right away.

T/C is shut down for two weeks. It may be a little while before they return your call. Also, I was disappointed with T/C about not chambered the Encore 22LR in a match chamber.

I had a similar problem.  It wasn't the cases buldging but a small dent thing in the little hole where the firing pin goes.  For the less technically minded, see the picture.  I just carefully filed it out and now have no problems.  It shoots very well.
