mossburg choke tubes
« on: December 16, 2008, 07:25:01 AM »
Does anyone know for sure what kind of choke tubes the current Mossburg over/unders are using? I would like to assume they are the same as what the 500 uses but I have to be sure. I've been told that mossburg makes two different styles of chokes... one for the 500 (which is the regular win/wby/moss) and one type for the 835. All of my guns and tubes I already have are all winchester/invector style. My 12 and 20 gauges. With the advent of invector plus some time ago, the invector style chokes are becoming a thing of the past and it seems that nearly all the manufacturers have followed suit with the changeover. Be as it may, I would still like to be able to grab any one of my 12's and know that anyone of my tubes can still fit in any gun. That's why I'm looking for an over/under that still uses the win/wby/moss style tubes. Are there any still being made or should I only look into used ones?

Just give them a call or send them an e-mail. I've called them before and they were very helpful.

I talked to someone and they said the chokes are mossburg 500... which is the same as winchoke/invector. Besides the Moss over/under, what other shotguns are being made that still use standard invector?
