Elk poached in Okla

Herd a short news story this morning about Elk found dead with its head and some back meat taken this was in Pittsburgh county any one else hear anything?

Thanks, I remember when they released the elk there some were killed shortly after they got off the truck, shame they couldn't leave them alone might of had a season by now.

It's unfortunate to say the least.  :(

I've hunted that area a lot back when I could handle the terain better. Poaching is a family heritage down there for a few of the locals. The game rangers have just about given up on controlling it. I have to say it's understandable.

A different mentality amoung some of those folks. Many of them count on it to feed thier families. Economy has been in the tank for years. Remember the area is known as Little Dixie.
