Good items for the food shelf charities
« on: December 23, 2008, 04:48:40 AM »
We have a lot of charity food shelves around here, and I give to them regularly. One of my favorites to give is the 32 ounce jars of Ragu spaghetti sauce and boxes of pasta. You can feed a family of four with a healthy and balanced meal with a jar of Ragu and a half pound of spaghetti, plus a bit of cheese or meat.

Do you have a favorite gift for the food shelves?

The boxes of kraft Macaroni and cheese, dried beans, rice.

My wife usually grabs the cheepest brand... I tend to do the opposite, Why not spend a few cents more and hopefully it will be apreciated.
Having said that, my wife feeds us with the cheepest brand or dtore brand items!
