Ejector removed, spring is found.
« on: December 28, 2008, 07:16:03 AM »
With instructions in hand, (printed out of FAQs) I advanced on the barrel in question.  Had all ready bought new punch set (where are the last ones I bought and never used?), so was ready to remove the ejector.  Following the instructions step by step, I released pressure from spring, drifted out roll pin holding spring, pulled out punch, watched spring fly across the room. :'(  after hours of searching ( oh, alright, 6-7 min.) I located said spring and placed it in 52 oz. coffee container.   (Never to much room for parts, I've found.)  Drifted out 2 other roll pins with out losing them.  Removed latch, dropped spring. :'(  Looked for spring for hours (4-5 min) found spring, way the he-- over there, they do bounce good.  Placed spring in coffee container, still have room.  Reached for ejector latch, damn thing grew legs and ran off!  Back on hands and knees looking on floor, it's bigger than a spring, I can find it.  Couldn't find it.  Went for smoke and cup of coffee, cause I'm just a LITTLE upset, bring coffee back into gun room, moved printed instructions, the ejector latch had come back home and lost its legs, hiding under the instruction sheet. :P :-[ Put it in the coffee container with plenty of room.  Picked up barrel and watched little hat shaped thing Tim had told me about bounce off bench onto floor. :'( :'(  Knees are really sore now but with bi-focals, ya have to get on a level playing field to look.  Found it quickly ::) and put it in coffee container, still have room for more parts.  All in all, that went smoothly for me :-[ :'( :D, can't wait to put the new one in!  Time for more coffee and another smoke, that's why it's so hard for me to quit smoking. ::)  DP

Can't wait to hear 'the rest of the story'! Anything that hits my floor hides forever and a day. By the time it has been found (days, weeks, months, etc) I have no idea what it was for and put it in my stash of 'where did these belong parts'.
Good luck

You can leave the small spring and lifter button out when you put the new ejector in, It is in the mail, should be there on Monday.  Larry
