Mounting a new scope
« on: December 28, 2008, 08:19:52 AM »
I have decided to mount a new 4x32 or 4x33 on a new Savage 200 in .223Rem. I want to make sure Im getting the right bases and rings. Here are links to what I want...I think...
Leupold 55742 - 2-pc Base 10/110 Round Receiver Matte Black
   http://www.opticsplanet.net/leupold-standard-2pc-2-piece-base.html
Leupold 49896 - Std Rings Super Low Matte Black
   http://www.opticsplanet.net/leupold-std-rings.html
Can someone tell me if these (rings and bases) will work for me for this set up or is the extra low rings too low ?

Here's a link. It shows using a Leupold 4x scope but the info will still work. Just use the Savage 10 and FX II 4x33 scope.
