Ground blind/shoot through netting
« on: November 20, 2008, 12:18:13 AM »
Has anyone done any archery hunting in a ground blind with the shoot through netting on the window openings? Does the netting affect arrow flight?

No, as long as you are set up right. The arrow has to be paper tuned. Just take it to your nearest archery shop, they will get you set up. I quit bowhunting 2 years ago. Was using expanding tips. I didn't have a range problem. I only shot out to 30 yards. Impact didn't change through mesh window. I shot 10 or 12 deer out of the blind. The extra resistance has to have some effect, just didn't see it out to 30. I still use the blind, just not the bow. Those little heaters are amazing in the ground blinds.

At close ranges, 20yds. or less shouldn't be a problem. Use fixed BH only if shooting through mesh. and don't try shooting your gun through this stuff, fire and nylon mesh don't mix..LOL
