Considering purchasing a second .22 Mag for predator hunting. Currently own a well shot Marlin MN bolt...excellent gun.  Was wondering what the consensus is about the semi-auto rifles?

Jim and others is the 597 mag. finicky with ammo? Got or should I say I had a few .22LR semis that were VERY finicky?

I cannot say anything about the Semi autos but If you like lever actions I am very satisfied with my Henry 22 mag. easy to mount a scope on and very accurate at 50 yards when I can do my part I have put 4 shots into one hole that is a 30 cal diameter with one flyer to make a 5 shot group .5 inches. I have mounted a Leupold 4X compact on it and I think it is a very handy rig. Plus 11 shots at your disposal. Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.
