OT- Handi coming home
« on: January 09, 2009, 09:04:17 AM »
Back in the mid 90's I bought my first Handi. It was a .44 mag. with green camo lam straight grip stocks. Sad to say I foolishly traded it a couple of years later for a bolt action 30-06 and pretty much forgot about it. Fast forward to 2 years ago and I talk to the guy with whom I traded. I asked him if he still had the .44. Sure enough he did. I asked him if he would consider selling it back to me and he flatly said no. He was keeping it for his son's first gun. Well I have tried several other times to buy the gun back and always the same answer. So out of the blue this morning he calls me up and asks if I'm still interested in the .44. Well of course I am I say. He says his son doesn't like the .44 and wants a .223 instead. It just so happens I have a .223 Rossi collecting dust. ;D I ask him if he wants to trade. Well yes is the word. I am going to his house tomorrow morning to make the trade and MY .44 is coming home to stay. ;D ;D

Now that's a story with a happy ending! Congratulations! How may of us wish we could do that
with different guns we have sold over the years?
