700 ADL trigger p
« on: January 26, 2009, 02:37:21 PM »
Hey guys.  I have a 700 ADL wood in 30.06.  The trigger pull is about 6 lbs.  I have no problem getting the trigger down to 3.5 lbs.  However, if I lower the trigger pull, creep shows up.  When the pull is 6 lbs., no creep. At 3.5 lbs., excessive creep, even after adjusting sear engagement and overtravel screws. Help!

Are you following the directions in the stickey above and elsewhere of the furum.  I can get all mine so low that it is scarry.  About 3lb is good for my hunting.  I have the old triggers.

I figured it out.  I just needed to start over and slow the process down.  I now have a very nice trigger pull,  one of the best triggers of all my rifles.  I did go through a complete safety check and all seems well.  I will let ya'll know how it shoots when it warms up.  Thanks all.
