 i ride a moped to my favorite spot to hunt deer then hide moped in woods under some brush to get home on . and get truck to go claim deer works for me

I had to vote yamaha just to stick it to the Harley crowd but my actual vote would be none of the above.  And hey, as far as I am concerned, two wheels and engine counts--elitism sucks.

hey i was serious and i do ride my moped to hunt i live in the middle of 3800 acres of new york state lands and forest all public hunting lands and sometimes parking is a problem (no brush ) to hide it in

In my opinion, if it will not go 55 mph, it does not count. Sorry, and it is not elitism. They just can not participate in a group ride at high way speed. They are mopeders, not bikers.

I owned nothing but Harleys for many years, but when it came time to get a bigger bike a few years ago I found HD was more proud of their bikes than I could afford. I honestly can't afford one. I ended up getting a Yamaha V Star 1100 instead. It's been great so far and no problems. I'm still in the wind so what difference does it make what I ride?

The 1100 v star I have(My Avatar) has not given me a minutes grief in the 5years I have owned it. I had it just the way I wanted it and the Harley bug bit me hard so I got the Dyna. Took the yamaha out just now and she still is a dream to ride. The Harley will out run it though. I just think this forum is for bikers not scooterers or mopeders. And he asked "DOES IT COUNT" so I gave my opinion which is no.  Now would I hunt with Timmo, hell yea in a heart beat. Would I ride into the Sparks America Bike rally with him on the moped probably not ;) By the way I take it back about all scooters. I watched a 150 blow away from a stop light like a dragster with a soccer mom and 8 yearold daughter on it 0 to 40 in a very few seconds. Little bit was hanging on for dear life :o.

I completely understand what you mean deernhog. Every so often I run into some dip that has been riding for a few years (maybe) that's trying to bust my stones about not being a "real biker" because I no longer ride a Harley. These people I have no use for. Like you, I think a scooter is not in the same class with a motorcycle, regardless of the make. Just sayin'.

I added the poll just to bust some chops. You know how guys are, if something bothers you they will twist the knife when they find out. All in good fun though.

I don't care what people ride, but I also don't think of scooters when I think "biker".

I personally prefer the classic harley styling, but to each his own.

Since everyone has an opinion I need to throw my two cents in!  Let me make this CLEAR Don't care what you ride I never knock a guy for riding Jap Bikes but I get real pissed when someone sitting on a Jap bike complains about not being able to find work!

Earn American $ then buy American and help keep an American employed don't cry about how much a Harley costs remember Americans need to earn more to make it in the good old USA.

You get what you pay for you will save some money buying Jap but when resale time comes I'LL compare my Harley to any Jap what goes around comes around.

Our jobs keep going over seas and south of the border so you can save a buck what will they cost when thay are all made outside the good old USA?
