Raton results?
« on: August 18, 2003, 01:38:26 PM »
Hey guys, does anyone know where to find a list of the matches and winners of same for this past weeks shooting at Raton?  The NRA which is ontime to request more money, sure doesn't like to post anything about BPCR on their website.  There have been bits and blurbs on Shooters.com, but I haven't been able to find anything else.  Hope someone has some good info, I had a lot of friends shooting there, and would just generally like to get the results.  If my comment offended any NRA official, Good!!  Omaha Poke, aka  Randy Ruwe :D

Dozer, thanks for the information.  That is a nice site.  Does anyone but me find it curious that fully 103 fewer competitors make it to the NRA National BPCR Championship than to a non-NRA sanctioned shoot such as the Quigley.  Why is that NRA?????????  Somebody from the NRA must read these posts.  How about an answer?  Omaha Poke, Randy Ruwe.

Thanks again Dozer

BPCR Nats

Randy and all,
Its sort of missleading the numbers posted on BPCR net thats just for the Sihouette matches. Which of course are BP only.

Actually numbers for the entire BP nats which include the Mid range and the Long Range (Creedmoor match) the number is well over 500 shooters or so I was told by some NRA officials. Quite a few folks shoot Mid Range and Creedmoor only and did not shoot in the Silhouette matches.

The campground was nearly full, Sihouettes was at the Max amount the range can hold ( some shooters were turned away) not enough range room in the Silhouette Range. 384 shooters is all the 16 banks with 3 relays can hold thats 192 shooters a day. It was in all aspects the largest nationals I have ever attended in the 8 years we have been going.

The only match that allows duplexing at Raton right now is the Creemoor, again for some safety concerns as marsh posted.

The Mid Range match is BP only now.

Folks that do not attend Raton for what ever reasons miss one of the best run and competitive matches in the Free world for BPCR. It has its problems and glitches but its the best we have right now.

Short of attending the Best BPCR Long Range Match, and thats in Wyoming.
