1st range session with Rock River
« on: January 17, 2009, 01:47:28 PM »
Finally made it to the range with my new RR Predator Pursuit. Put rail mount front & rear sight on it first to get them right before taking them off to mount my scope. I am a little shocked cause my eyes are 55 yrs old (actually so is most of me).
Shooting at an 8" oval Shoot-n-See at 100 yrds with open sights the S&B 55gr bulk ammo had no problem repeating 2"
3 shot groups. But folks when I put the 60 grain Hornady TAP rounds in it, Holy Moly!!! 2 honest to goodness 1" groups. Now some of you may be yawning by now but for me that just doesn't happen. I'm ready to scope it now and if it shoots like I think it will some of you may accuse me of lying when I post it. Working up some handloads my be fun too.
