Help please!

I'm helping a friend date/ value a Hotchkiss 1.65" mountain gun for possible later sale. His father bought it years ago and has proper papers. We do know it's pre- Spanish/American War.  All original except for the rims on the carriage. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the site, if possible could you post some photo's? We wouldn't mind seeing your father's cannon,
I have not seen one for sale in some time but I believe it would be in the 30,000.00 range depending on condition
and extras, shell casings cleaning equipment, loading gear etc. hope that helps some. when selling this be careful there is a
site on the internet that has a bad reputation and they love selling cannons for other people PM me and I will fill you in.
I can also give you a recommendation as to who to talk to.

Yep, post a few pictures, various angles, will help identify and come up with an estimate of such an item... and add something to relate size. Look forward to pics! BoomLover
