Cartridges of the World
« on: January 29, 2009, 03:16:27 PM »
Is anyone else addicted to this book.  I have the 9th and 10th editions and have read them repeatedly.  Recently I ran across the 2nd edition on amazon (cheap and in good condition) and this one is interesting to read the opinions from a 1969 point of view.  BTW, there is still one available for about 14 bucks shipped.  Now, I got the 5th ed in the mail for a 1985 spin.  There is a 1st edition but I dont think I want that one. And, now to further my illness, the 12th should be out soon, with a new editor it seems.  I will probably get this one also since I skipped the 11th.

If anyone wants the 2nd I mentioned and cant find it, let me know.

I read it regularly and enjoy it very much. It's one of the few great firearms books. Elmer Keith's Sixguns is another great. Most of the Peter Capstick books are great books. One of the greatest and rarest is Al Goerg's Pioneering Handgun Hunting.
