Economist at Duke University said when the feds spend money it takes like two years for it to take effect. Like stearing a large ship. There is a huge time lag. Second, by that time, we will have spent so much federal money that we will begin to have high inflation to pay for the government spending.

I just got back in from a hike in the woods with my dog "Jackson". He and I had a long discussion on this issue and others facing our Republic.

Now mind you "Jackson" is a Pit Bull mix, and so he is "sensitive" to Government Intrusion (i.e. Laws banning specific dog breeds) into his everyday life. Its one issue he and I see eye to eye on ALL the time.

Jackson is pretty smart too. He knows that deficit spending to create jobs to "fix" infrastructure only last so long. Then the 'projects' are over and then what? All those employed are out of a job (again). You haven't really created anything. NOTHING.

As for the Condoms Program that Nancy wanted.........."Jackson" thinks its too bad that Nancy's dad hadn't been able to participate in a program like that...........

My old blacksmith shop dog "MacTavish" (a Cairn terrier) died in December, so he was spared the pain of witnessing the onset of "big brother" government and the "Nanny state"..

A few years ago, when a person went on about consperiacy theory's, the gov't doing this or that, I didn't think much of it. The longer nonsense like these stimulus plans and bailout's keep coming out of the gov't, the more I believe their out to destroy this country. How can anybody with any reasonable amount of brain power think that borrowing money to bail out a sinking economy is going to help. Your taking money from the people that were either smart enough to save it, or at least are still earning it, and giving it to people that were too stupid with it in the first place.
I've come to the conclusion that Obama and the rest,Pelosi,Schumer,etc.,are hoping for a revolution in this country. Some sort of short term anarchy, so they can come in to save the day. Never thought I'ld ever come up with that prognosis. gypsyman p.s. Is there a possibility that Jackson might be Nancy's dad??

I don't actually believe the bozos in Congress have enough smarts or discipline to conspire about anything other than getting re-elected.

A genuine, effective conspiracy requires patience, flexibility and subtlety, not a bunch of loud-mouthed egotistical braggarts grabbing every available TV minute to tell us how great they are at saving the world.

the people on congress are a bunch of fools. I have never seen so many misfits assembled in one place. But what is more amazing we keep re-electing these people.
