'06 Browning pump rifle

Is there a way to adjust the trigger on Browning's '06 pump rifle? Any after market triggers? How about a shim in the sear notch? Any ideas?

The Browning - designed M1890, M1905, M62 and M62A slide action .22 rifles use carefully fitted and stoned hammers and trigger sears for a good trigger action.  It would not be advisable to try and lighten the triggers because the shock of shucking and closing the actions can jar the hammers off full cock.

Does this also apply to the centerfires?

JohnTraveler - I'm certain that "-06 Browning Pump" refers to a .30-06 Browning BPR rifle, a manually-operated version of the BAR.

Cornbelt - The trigger is almost identical to the trigger on a BAR, but isn't easily adjustable.
If you're mechanically inclined, and have long experience in disassembling trigger housing assemblies like the Brownings and Remingtons, then it can be taken apart, the surfaces smoothed up, etc, and reassembled.

Sometimes the judicious application of Gun Slick or some other fine lubricant can do wonders for one of those type triggers, after the entire mechanism is thoroughly cleaned with the trigger group taken out of the receiver.

Here's a download of the owner' manual, if you don't have one:
