There are two things in the area that possibly could be a threat. The area has a lot of coyotes. The other thing is the X-country skiing enviromentalists.
Tug Hill sees an occasional bear but you will not likely see one. Once in a while a moose. The coyotes are the worst threat. Before I left for Alaska, I hunted quite a bit near Adams. Lots of dead raccoons from rabies back then. Lots!
Tug Hill is an unigue area and has quite a few roads. If you search the internet for "Tug Hill" you will find quite an amount of information on the area. There are still some pristine streams, waterfalls and other neat things to see. Go with out fear!
I have/had a CCP for 30 years and have never been questioned up there. If I remember correctly - places that serve liquor, court houses, fed. buildings are off limits.
Have a great time but remember that there are 2-3 deer wintering yards up in that area and they can not survive the stress of the snow machines.
