Yea,  i'll stick with ya wackyquacker, as long as you give me some secrets on catching those spotted bellies,  love the country like you live in way out west, worked for an outfitter about 15 years ago, guided in southern Colorado, and northern New Mexico,  last year i went lion hunting in Utah,  going back again this year to see if I can get one of those big kitties, had a real good race on a big lion last year, but he wouldn't go up a tree for us, got up into some cliffs and left the dogs.  I would be game on getting some secrets out of Asa, just let me know what the plan is, I have some of my own ideas, we can see if they will work.   Oh  yea i almost forgot, i was looking at some older Trapper magazines, and on the cover of the November 1996, there was a good lookin guy remaking a set that he had just takin a pretty red fox out of, you all know who that guy was????  cya  Corey

Man Asa i thought all trapper were ugly, like me and Matt Jones, but you sure shoot that theory all to heck, how are you able to set traps, i bet ya got girls chasin ya all over the line don't ya,  some guys get it all, brains, good looks, xpert trapping skill,  then there are guys like me, don't get nothin except for skunks and possums.  Oh Asa, i have never had the pleasure of using any of your lures, i am going to try some this year, which one of your cat lures would you recommend to me here in the midwest?  I use mainly dirtholes, and flat sets on my pawhold traps for cats.

Watch out Corey he'll try and sell you his stuff.  Now if you want a GOOD lure try a product called Bobcat Super All Call

If you are up for a ride and chase for lions I've gotta a guy that runs the Black range in the GIlla National forest what thinks he's Ben Lilly.  Man there are a bunch of big cats in that part of the state.

Thanks for the heads up wq,   i'll try some of that all call this winter,  i've only been lion hunting the one time, but i love it.  I thought i was in shape last year before i went out, but after we chased that cat all over a couple canyons i was shot.   What does your buddy charge for a lion hunt?  Right now i am trading hunts with my friend in utah, he brings some guys back and i take them pheasant hunting for a week, and then they take me lion hunting for a week.  Works out pretty good, there wouldn't be any way i could afford a hunt like that without trading.  You have many lions where you trap?  Ever caught one by accident?  Bet they are fun to release.    Take care.   Corey

I am sure willing to split my time between this forum, Hal's, and Paul's. It is not that hard really, it is just like running your trapline, checking and posting. I'll manage. Looks like some nice trappers live here as well!
